Pittsgrove is a proud, vibrant, traditional, and close-knit community focused on respect, growth, and student achievement. I am honored and humbled to have the opportunity to become part of our district's story and the future chapters of excellence we will write together.

We all have our own stories to share. Our backgrounds and traditions make our school community unique, diverse, and ready to be recognized as a school of excellence in New Jersey. More importantly, I will continuously collaborate with our community to ensure we establish meaningful relationships that will give voice to all of our stakeholders.

The Promise of Progress: An $18 Million Bond Referendum

The bond referendum projects started right before the close of school and have been in full swing all summer. The Promise of Progress is pivotal to ​enhancing our educational environment and supporting the success of our students. We anticipate more updates for you in December when even more ​work has been completed.

Progress Overview

Over the summer, significant progress was made on many projects. Below is a summary of the work completed:

• Olivet New Roof: Asphalt shingle replacement has been completed. The mock-up for the fascia and soffit has been reviewed by the design team. ​Roof replacement has resumed above the 3rd/4th grade wing. The roof is still in progress but should be close to completion when the students ​arrive. We anticipate the need for facia to be the final step in the first weeks of September.
  
• PTMS New Roof: Roof replacement continues at the middle school above the 500 and 600 wings. This project is on track to be completed by the ​time students arrive.
  
• APSHS Auditorium: CAT 6 cables have been terminated with the new Audio/Visual rack. Stage lighting is installed. A new AV control panel desk has ​been delivered and installed. New A/V panel boards have been delivered and connected to the A/V mini-rack. The dimmer panel has been cleaned ​and start-up has been completed. It looks fantastic!
  
• APSHS Landscaping: The stadium side of APSHS and the auditorium entrance are getting a facelift. This project is ongoing and we anticipate it to be ​completed during the first week of school.
  
• Olivet Flooring: Second-grade hallway classrooms have new floors and we are working toward eliminating all the carpet at Olivet
  
• Elmer Parking Lot: Asphalt paving has been completed. Curbing, ADA compliance areas, and new railings are completed.
  
• District IT, Internet, Phones, Intercoms: Wiring, installation of phones, installation of intercoms, and integration will be completed for September 5 ​when our students arrive. This work was complex and very necessary. Please note the internet and phone installation also affects the township ​building.

What’s Next?

We have more developments planned for the coming months. Here’s what to expect:

• APSHS Field House with bathrooms: After this football season we will begin design and construction of a field house with concession stand and ​bathrooms for our community. This project will be completed by March.
  
• APSHS Bleacher Replacement: After this football season we will replace the bleachers.
  
• APSHS Bathrooms: The original 46-year-old bathrooms will be replaced next summer. We are currently in the process of designing those bathrooms.
  
• APSHS Locker Rooms: The locker rooms will be upgraded. We are currently in the process of designing this space.
